It can benefit those who take part in regular activity and if applied before or after training it may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury. It can be helpful for such things like simple sprains or strains acquired by sports or injury. It is true that due to the nature of the massage it can feel uncomfortable at times but be reassured with Murphysio we will make sure your massage is tailored to your needs.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At Murphysio we combine different types of massage to get the best results for our clients. To use Swedish, remedial, trigger point, or myofascial release to name a few, as single techniques can achieve great results. However depending on your body and what is felt under the skin often leads to a blend of interchangeable massage techniques used.
We often expect to palpate and reveal the area that you wish to be treated so please bring loose clothing and we can provide towels if needed. Initially on your first session we will discuss any medical history, and decide what massage might be best to suit your needs before treatment commences.
